Journal

Practical notes from the people at the desk — walking times, weather quirks, and how guests usually pace a stay on the north shore.

Eight minutes to the strip

The gravel path is lit after dusk. Wear shoes that grip when the boards are wet. Taxis wait at the pier gate after midnight on weekends.

One late night is enough

Most returning guests keep Friday or Saturday late and leave the other evening for the porch. The waters feel better when you do.

Morning mist, evening clear

Lake fog often lifts by ten. Summer thunderstorms arrive fast — the desk posts a simple flag when the path is slippery.

Bring photo identification

Any gaming room on the shore — ours or elsewhere — will ask for it. We never store copies at the desk.
